Xander Smith Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 So, greetings to the community here. I posted once awhile ago about the Alcatraz tour in ASL. I have since definitely figured out why some people want the ASL tour and others just want the printed tour. But I have a new one for you guys, and this is potentially controversial. OK so I have a co-worker who is on the Autism spectrum. He received a large group of Deaf visitors. My co-worker enjoys asking people where they are from etc, I imagine he enthusiastically engaged with the visitors. Now here is the interesting part, the Deaf visitors did a O.? a "uh-huh knowing-eye-look" hard to explain, and then they did a beard-stroking movement accompanied with the eyebrow-raised thing. What were they saying? What was this beard stroking thing, they were definitely commenting on my co-workers autism. PS: Feel free to PM me if you want, I don't think this is too controversial but yeah.
Lysandor Posted October 29, 2019 Report Posted October 29, 2019 They could be wondering how old he is. 1
