why i started learning it?

hiya, my interest in learning bsl began at about age 14/15. I went on a weekend trip away with a youth group of kids with a hearing loss or who are Deaf and use sign language as their chosen language and we all found it difficult communicating and would find that we were writing things down to communicate and stuff so I thought that maybe if I began learning learning bsl I would be able to communicate with a wider range of people similar to me with a hearing loss or who are Deaf. I work with animal so it isn't needed as much for work.
