It's a bit late to reply, though I think Let's Sign BSL Dictionary is one of the more impressive sign dictionaries.  ASL has "The Gallaudet Children’s Dictionary of American Sign Language" and the ISL(Irish) dictionary includes the first page with the alphabet, the explains each further sign with the alphabet introduced on the first page.  A good dictionary can be a good book I think.

      Hi, I am currently a student that is trying to become a Physical Education teacher. My reason for learning sign language is because I have had students that are D/deaf and I would love to communicate better with them without the use of external help. Also I have some family members that are losing their hearing or lost it so I would also still love to communicate with them as well. I have only just started but very excited to learn and develop my knowledge further

      I'm involved in HE, both student and tutor, although very matured 😶‍🌫️. My reasons for starting to learn BSL are mainly two. First, I have a colleague who is very proficient and she has been helpful to several people in her use of BSL, I would like to be able to help too. Also, it enhances me in working with people. I have only just begun, but sometime soon  it'd be good to practice. I shall come back and check if anyone else wants to practice when I've progressed further.
