Why I'm learning BSL

Recommended Posts

I work as a personal trainer and have a deaf client. As we went into lockdown I was able to keep most clients and do sessions online, but my deaf client said it would be too difficult for her to lip read on screen - this gave me the idea to learn a little bit of sign language. I appreciate I'm not going to be fluent any time soon, but I really think it will help with our sessions once we get back to normal, it is a good way to spend my extra free time and I am also looking forward to actually using it with someone!
