I am 14 and  learning BSL in school and I am going to do my grade 1 exam. When BSL started in my school a lot of people wanted to learn it (90) however the number of people learning has now dropped to 10. I think the main reasons people stopped coming were time and commitment. The sessions are an hour and a half long and it is really difficult to focus for this long, also people felt that they had to come every single week. If BSL is taught in schools the sessions would need to be shorter.

I strongly agree. BSL should be introduced in min stream school. I am  a TA in a primary school and learnt BSL to support a child with Downs Syndrome. I really enjoyed it and saw results. I am now doing BSL Level 3.
