I have joined this forum through the british-sign.co.uk course. I am taking the course so that I am better able to communicate with people who use sign language. I have had occasions in the past where I wished I knew some sign language and, to be honest, I don't know why we don't just teach everyone sign language in school.

Hi Fey! Lovely to e-meet you! I'm also a newbie (first week on the british-sign.co.uk course). I've decided to start learning sign language because of the same reason as you and agree that more schools should start teaching sign language.

Hey! Nice to meet you guys! I'm on my first week too! I agree it would be so simple to put BSL into the curriculum! Like I went through the whole of high school wanting to learn it but we weren't even taught about it!
