Got to use my (minimal) sign language!

In the week since I reignited my self-study online, I had two guests come into my workplace and I was able to help with my basic signing. Of course they would have managed fine without me and my bare minimum signs, but still wanted to do what I could. And in return they taught me a few ^^ So i'm well happy, and just wanted to share a small win x

  Learning British Sign Language has always been something I have been interested in. I completed Stage One BSL many years ago when I worked in the civil service, but I never really had the chance to use it, so it faded over time. When my current workplace offered the Introduction to British Sign Language (Healthcare) course, I jumped at the opportunity.   Hello! My name is Francine, and I work as a clerical officer in a care home in the Highlands, Scotland. I recently completed the Introduction to British Sign Language (Healthcare) course, which I enjoyed. It made me want to learn more, so I am now starting to learn basic conversational BSL. I am looking forward to improving my skills and being able to communicate better with people who use sign language.

  I think it's a great language to learn and more people should learn! I'm losing my hearing in one ear and thought it could be useful for me too.
