Hi All,

I am organising a sponsored bike ride on 11th June and I’d love it if anyone here would consider getting involved, either by taking part, volutneering, or just spreading the word. I know it won’t be local to everyone, but any help would be appreciated. The ride starts in Merstham, Surrey (near Redhill) and finishes in Brighton, where Hamilton Lodge School for deaf students will be hosting its summer fete.

At the moment, I’m looking for:

Volunteers – to help at the start with registering riders and to help in/near Brighton with handing refreshments to riders. It’s a good opportunity to practice some BSL if you are Level 1 or 2.

People to take part – you don’t need to be a pro cyclist! Just age 16+ and willing to get some practice in before the day (we have training plans to make it easier and mechanics there on the day if you need them, as well as people who can sign).

People to pop up a poster at their workplace, school, gym etc. I can email or post these. Especially if you live in London, Surrey or Sussex.

There are more detials about the ride here http://www.hamiltonlsc.co.uk/bike-ride, but please reply if you have any questions.

Hopefully this will be a great event for hearing and deaf people to participate in as well as being an opportunity to raise funds for our school and NDCS.

Thanks

Jenna

I have worked in a supermarket for seven years, currently taking driving lessons, reading books, drawing, playing Pokemon Trading Card Game, exercising at the gym, watching YouTube videos, loving cartoons, finding morbid topics interesting, and working on beating my depression and insomnia. • Well, I’ve today started the British sign language course. The reason being is my daughter has been with her boyfriend for around 2 years now and both his parents are deaf and it would be great if I could engage in conversation with them when we are all together.

    • Forex trading appealed to me as a way to achieve financial independence, and finding https://www.fxclearing.com/ was a key step in this process. The platform's emphasis on providing direct and continuous access to the Forex market means I can trade at any hour, which is crucial for reacting to market changes in real-time. The low barrier to entry, with straightforward account opening procedures and minimal initial investment requirements, made it an attractive option.
    • Hello my name is Sue.  At the ripe old age of 79, I have decided to have a go at learning Sign Language for two reasons.  I have a granddaughter who is given the opportunity to learn sign language at her school and thought it would be good to be able to practice with her.   I also hope that learning a new skill will help to keep the old grey cells ticking over!  I'm finding it a challenge but it is an enjoyable one and I hope one day I can put what I am learning to good use
