Ordering a sentence

Recommended Posts

Hi All

How do I know the order of words in a sentence, for example, Name you what?  rather than whats your name?

Trying to translate something into the right order, I have the individual signs but not sure on the order!

I also am regularly reminded of how easily people can become deaf, and I think learning BSL makes the world more inclusive for those born deaf too. I also work with a society in my uni that provides day trips to young adults with disabilities, and some members struggle to communicate verbally. Therefore, I think learning BSL would help them and me, and I could possibly lead on to Mak
    • Hi, I'm Jade and very new to this course! I'm 20 years old and studying at University of Nottingham. I wanted to learn a new skill over quarantine, and also I'm part of a society at uni that provides day trips for disabled children. I wanted to learn BSL to aid my communication with them, before moving on to Makaton too! I think it would benefit both the members and myself. • Hi all, I'm a support worker, and I've been working with the deaf community for a few years - learning BSL along the way (I was about to start my level 3 before lockdown happened)  - and now we're in lockdown my caseload has all moved to facetime! Because we took a while to get all our tech sorted out and deal with other crises, I have fallen out of practice and I'm really hoping to build up my fluency again and improve my receptive skills so I can offer better support to my service users

I am an originally an Occupational Therapist, but currently work in the voluntary sector in a therapeutic manner. I am hang trouble uploading the video of me introducing myse
    • Hi My name is Lindsay. I currently work in childcare in a pre school. Having worked with a few non verbal children I have always wanted to learn Sign Language. Being furloughed due to Covid has meant there is no excuse. I’m taking it slowly and re doing the tests regularly. It would be nice to have someone to practice with but I probably need to learn a little bit more first. Lindsay🙂
