Hello 

 

I am learning British Sign Language as i work in child care.  I am also hard of hearing myself.  I wear a hearing aid in my right ear due to a mastoid when younger.  I also have recently started to wear a hearing aid in my Left ear as my hearing has deteriorated, so in the future i may even need to know BSL. 

i feel BSL should be taught in schools as it is a language in itself and there are lots of people that are hard or hearing or deaf.  I feel like they would be included more if it was taught as a mandatory subject along side other languages such as french/English.
