Is my centre making students cheat on the receptive exam?

I have been learning BSL for 3 years. I recently completed exams in December and January with my Signature approved centre.

Before the receptive exam, we sit in the room (which is not appropriately laid out for a fair exam for everyone anyway) and before we start the exam, the teacher spends about 10 minutes going through a list of signs and their corresponding English words that will appear throughout the receptive exam to help us.

Is this cheating?? Does anyone else experience this? It kind of defeats the purpose of a receptive skills exam. And It's not part of the exam conduct anywhere in the exam specification.

  Hi ! Iam Karen , I would like to join your forum and possibly work with some other people. I decided to do BSL because I needed to exercise my hand and I wanted to do something that was more interesting than just exercising, and I thought BSL might help me with someone if they were deaf.
