Hi Olivia,

The best way to start to learn BSL is to learn the Alphabet (finger spell). Once you mastered that move onto the simple signs, hello, goodbye, how are you etc.. Just pick it up from there. There is lots of free videos on YouTube to help you along too. Although please do remember that each part of the United Kingdom may or may not have a different sign from somewhere 20 miles down the road, it's just like us having 'dialect' in English. If you need any help in getting started, don't hesitate to ask

      Hi everyone. Name me what, Jeff. I've been basic signing for about 10 years now after getting a basic lesson from the company that I used to work for. My aim now, is to become fully competent within BSL and gain a qualification, and then look for any kind of employment that relates to BSL.

      Hello everyone. I am incredibly new to BSL (I've had one class at introductory level so far but I intend to pursue). I am 48 and I am experiencing some hearing loss but really I want to learn to sign to give myself more communication options and to be able to communicate with as many people as I can.

      Hello! I am very new here and I would like recommendations of online BSL courses where I can learn online in the evening. Cost isn’t an issue but it needs to be money well spent.  For context, am a lifelong hearing aid wearer with no BSL knowledge apart from finger spelling the alphabet… slowly.    Thanks in advance.
