Chat Room Camera

I have logged into the chat rooms in the past and my camera automatically comes on. Today I was having trouble with my camera not coming on when I was in the chat room. I went to the camera and turned it on in my start menu, but this did not activate it in the chat room. Has anyone had this happen before? How do I access my camera on/off from this website?

@Pebbles hello. I sometimes find that this forum's chatrooms are slightly laggy and have had camera problems in the past so I tend to use Zoom or Skype.
