Hello! I'm Kayla and I'm the president and founder of the sign language club at my school. Since school has been cancelled we have switched our club meetings to online. A huge part of learning ASL is Deaf Culture so I wondered if anybody here would be comfortable sharing their experience with my club on Zoom? It would be really low key, I just feel uncomfortable sharing about a culture that I'm not 100% a part of. Thanks and lmk!!

      Hi everyone! I'm a hearing husband with a deaf wife, and I'm a retired electrician and safety instructor. I know some sign language, but I'm hoping this site will help me improve my skills and support others in our local fire department. Although there aren't many deaf people in my community, I have many deaf friends from different places. We always have a great time together, and they're wonderfully patient while teaching me new signs! I'm excited to be here, learn more, and connect with everyone. Looking forward to being part of the community! geometry dash

      My name is Leah and I started learning ASL to help people communicate where there are language barriers. For instance: I just started volunteering at a nature center and I hope that one day I'll be able to help someone connect there. I'm also applying for a job at my local YMCA for the Member Services desk. It would be great to help the deaf and hard of hearing community connect there also. I'm very excited about learning ASL. I love helping people. 😊

      I am taking my first class of ASL at a local community college.   I am hearing.  The teacher is Deaf and fantastic.   The language is beautiful.   I am learning because I have 3 neuro-divergent kids and I think this would be a good way to connect with them.
