  1. Hi, my name is Jodi and I'm a final year medical student. I grew up with deaf friends, and knew a little bit, but I want to be able to properly speak go my friends in their first language, and be able to make the hospital experience easier for bsl users once I've qualified.

  2. Hi my name is Abo, I'm 20 and I only started learning BSL a few weeks ago. I'm hoping to join the society at my uni next year to find people to practice with and am always happy to chat with new people who are also beginners.

  3. Im currently in uni in Leeds doing a course in childhood studies. Ive always wanted to learn BSL just never really had the time till now. Super excited with my progress but I haven't had the chance to practice it with another person so I don't actually know if im any good hahaha. If anyone is interested to practice over FT or discord or whatever let me know!

  4. Hi all, I am a primary school teacher and think all children should learn at least the basics of BSL. I have always wanted to learn myself! So I am finally taking the plunge and hope to become fluent over time and able to introduce sign to the children further down the line. Happy to practice with others and speak to others as we go .

  5. Hi everyone! I have just started an online course and have learned finger spelling/greetings/colours/some basic questions and some places, using British-sign.co.uk I would love to see if there was anyone who was available in the evenings to practice BSL together, someone who is on the same level as me! Let me know, Holly

  6. Hey there! I am 26 years old and new into BSL. Since I started the course (already on lesson 4), I realized that my goal of retaining the signs learnt would be best achieved by practicing them. So far I am learning in front of the mirror in order to manage body coordination while signing so that I make sure I am learning the correct way of doing the signs. Apart from that info I am fully hearing and wanted to learn BSL as another meaningful way to connect with people. Are there any new learners interested in practicing?
