Hi everyone,

I'm learning Sign Language because I want to work within accessible theatre when I finish University. I'm also dyslexic which made it really hard to learn a language in school so I thought the most useful language to learn would be one that people in the UK use too. I'd love to chat with anyone, maybe even practice too,

      Hello! My name is Katherine, I am a British-Mexican linguist, and am beginning to work as a part-time primary school teaching assistant. I also do a bit of English/Spanish translating and interpreting on the side. Growing up with 2 languages and 2 cultures, moving back and forth between countries, resulted in certain language and speech difficulties, making sign languages very attractive to me personally. I started learning Mexican sign language years ago but never continued, and upon resettling back here I am finally committed to learn sign language, and find BSL fascinating. I look forward to communicate in BSL with other students as well as within the deaf community, whom I'm very curious to meet. Cheers!
