Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone would like to connect through Whatsapp to send each others videos of signs from the course so we could practise the receptive skills. The signs in the quiz are not enough to practise. It would help us to learn to sign as well as read them. I am now in module 4 animals, so we could be practising with signs from all the 3-4 modules and then mix each of them as we progress.

Hi Daniela,

Sounds like a good idea. I've just started and got up to the animals. There are long lists in this module to learn so would be good to practice these and get used to others signing them (not just the same man over and over)

      Hello! My name is Katherine, I am a British-Mexican linguist, and am beginning to work as a part-time primary school teaching assistant. I also do a bit of English/Spanish translating and interpreting on the side. Growing up with 2 languages and 2 cultures, moving back and forth between countries, resulted in certain language and speech difficulties, making sign languages very attractive to me personally. I started learning Mexican sign language years ago but never continued, and upon resettling back here I am finally committed to learn sign language, and find BSL fascinating. I look forward to communicate in BSL with other students as well as within the deaf community, whom I'm very curious to meet. Cheers!
