lucy33 Posted January 13, 2021 Report Posted January 13, 2021 Hi all! I'm pretty new to bsl and just wanted a bit of help. What is the sign for have and is it the same when talking in different persons (for has/had) or does it change? I read somewhere that the sign for has changes depending what context you are signing in, like if you are saying you own something (eg- i have a brother) vs a characteristic you have (eg- i have long hair). Is this right and if so, what are the signs for these. Any help would be much appreciated!
Sue W. Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 Hi Lola, Can I just check. Is the sign for son also used for brother. The only sign for brother I know is both knuckles infront of body moving up and down? Thanks for help sue
Lola2020 Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 Hey Sue, You are correct, I have indeed used the wrong sign- I used the sign for Son/Boy instead of the sign for Brother (Brother is most defiantly two knuckles knocking together) Glad someone Is checking these haha Lola
