  1. We've had a couple of queries about how to enable push notifications on these forums so that you are notified about replies, and posts you're following, in your browser or device even if you don't have the page open. These notifications can be enabled within your settings: https://www.signlanguageforum.com/asl/notifications/options/ Here's a screenshot:
  2. Hello Karen, Thanks for the suggestion, we'll take a look at adding numbers in a future update. Are you referring to the animation resource: https://www.signlanguageforum.com/asl/fingerspelling/message/ ?
  3. Hello, @Lysandor and @dalejr2148 - thanks for the suggestions and the bump... This is a great idea and we have been working out the best way to implement this and hope to add this feature in the coming few months - I'll post on here when you are able to sign up for these notifications. Thanks again for the suggestion.
  4. Hello @Bison - welcome to the forum. For details of how to post video directly from your webcam or mobile please see this post: https://www.signlanguageforum.com/asl/topic/66-recording-video/
  5. We have added a topic to these forums where you can post if you are looking for, or are offering, any ASL or related job vacancies: https://www.signlanguageforum.com/asl/forum/34-job-vacancies/
  6. Hello Angelo, It isn't possible to view everyone who is browsing the forums but you can view anyone who is in the chat rooms by looking at the room list (for an example see the image below). Your email inbox should not be limited like that - I will look into this.
  7. Hey @Bisceglia Lana Aristide welcome. If there is anything on this site that isn't obvious or doesn't work as you expect please let us know and we'll try our best to make it work better. Let us know how we can make it easier for ASL signers and learners to connect. Enjoy 😊
  8. Over the past few days we have upgraded the video recording software used on this site. Video recording should now be a smooth process and can be used on desktop and mobile devices. To record a video in a post just press the red button below the text input box when you are creating a topic or replying to a post.
  9. Hello @Lysandor - so sorry for the (very!) long delay in getting back to you. The idea is that you can record anything that you like by video using ASL and you can ask for feedback and comments if you wish. We thought it may be useful for those who are learning BSL to have somewhere that they can practice using ASL without it being too specific on topic.
  10. Display the ASL Used Here logo so that your visitors or customers know that you are able to offer services in American Sign Language or that there is an interpreter available. You can find out more about this by visiting: https://www.signlanguageforum.com/asl/sign-language-used-here/logo/
  11. Hello @Douglas - Thanks for posting! We are still setting up the video recording aspect of this website and there maybe some performance issues for a little while - we hope to get these resolved soon. Thanks for your patience!
  12. Hello @Katy12 - welcome! This site is very nearly ready to be launched - all of the features should now be working so please feel free to spread the word. If you can think of anything you would like added to the site please let me know.
  13. We have been working really hard over the past year to create a site that will be a community hub for people who are learning and who use American Sign Language. The site is pack full of features specifically for ASL users such as the ability to record video directly into posts. Let us know what you think of the site and let us know if we can add any features that you would find useful. I look forward to hearing from you
  14. You can now create your own animated ASL fingerspelling images using the fingerspelling creator tool. You can change the speed of the animation. The animated gifs can be posted on Facebook as American Sign Language messages for your friends. They can also be downloaded, or embedded on other websites. To use this tool click here.
  15. A great feature that we have recently added is the ability to record a video into your post directly from your webcam or mobile device - and it's really easy! All you need to do is click on the red icon on the right hand side of the toolbar when you are writing your post.
