Hello everyone!

I just recently joined this forum thinking it might be a great way to get better at ASL. I took a few basic ASL courses years ago in college, but never followed through with interpreting aspirations (cause of, ya know, life). After years of thinking about the missed opportunity, I put my foot down and now trying to go back to school for interpreting. I am still a beginner, but love learning and experiencing both the language and Deaf culture.

I hope to get to signing with you all at some point. Until then, keep on keepin' on and stay safe out there 🤘

I am sitting in a chat room while doing the fingerspelling game..Ā  hoping someone will drop in and join me to practice some signing.Ā  Also just learning how these posts work.Ā  Its not all clear to me yet.Ā  Testing to see if this will show up in the right display panel under "posts".

Hi there Alex. Absolutely, getting to actually practice conversational sign rather than just by Youtube would be great. I'd love to see if we can setup a video chat sometime. and same for you, Lauren and Aspenlea.

I don't have a Zoom just yet, but got an old Skype account if those platforms are better than the video chat on the site.

Let me know your guys' thoughts, and nice to meet you!

Hi there Jose! Sorry for the delayed response, I forget to check the forum regularly. But yes I'd be interested in practicing ASL together sometime. I've got Skype or Google Meet if either of those would work for you at all.

    • Medical sources also highlight that consistent routines and combination therapies are often necessary, with results sometimes taking weeks to appear. Practical addition would be exploring device-based approaches alongside traditional skincare, since light and technology-driven treatments are increasingly used in dermatology settings for persistent cases. A solution likeĀ UVTREATĀ is often mentioned in that context as an alternative people look into when topical products alone don’t deliver enough improvement.
    • Acne treatment is a common concern for people of all ages, especially teenagers and young adults. Acne develops when hair follicles become clogged with oil (sebum), dead skin cells, and bacteria. While it is not a dangerous condition, it can affect self-esteem and, in severe cases, lead to scarring. Fortunately, there are many effective ways to treat and manage acne. The first step in treating acne is proper skincare. Gentle cleansing twice a day helps remove excess oil and dirt without irritating the skin. It is important to avoid harsh scrubs, as they can worsen inflammation. Using non-comedogenic products—those that do not clog pores—is also essential for preventing new breakouts. Over-the-counter treatments are often helpful for mild acne. Ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid work by reducing bacteria and unclogging pores. These products are widely available and can be effective when used consistently over several weeks.
