Hello!  I'm learning sign language to help me communicate more easily at home and with other hearing impaired people, including my sister and others I hope to meet in the future.  I have always been deaf in one ear, but am slowly losing my hearing in my hearing ear as well.  It is becoming increasingly more difficult for me to hear, even though I wear hearing aides.  I have beginning level skills, having learned from Dr. Bill Vicar's ASL University course (and from his free ASL learning site, Lifeprints.com).  I would like to pracice with other beginning level signers OR very patient higher-level signers.  I'm excited that this site offers an opportunity for me and others to learn from each other!

Hi! I like learning new things. This ASL became a reality in 2017 @ Canadian Hearing Society. I think my brain literally melted. There were many factors I didn't know include in ASL. I continue to practice on my own but I would like to try to communicate with others. I am not yet that confident using ASL but I hope in time (patience) I will get there. I am looking forward learning with you :)

Hello Cnen, JamieHonds007, Fia and Angel,

Thank you for offering to sign with me!  I would love to know how to get in touch with you.  I stopped going to this site because I had trouble connecting to people while on it and am still wanting to know how to get in touch with people when they and I are free (i.e. to speak/sign directly to someone!).

I will enter each of your pages to see if I can set up a time to pracice signing with you.  Look forward to meeting all of you!

Cordially,

Alison Sattler

    • Many students face difficulties when studying complex academic subjects that require advanced analytical, technical, or problem-solving skills. Subjects such as information technology, finance, engineering, and data analytics often involve challenging concepts that can be difficult to understand without proper guidance. Seeking academic support can help students overcome these challenges and improve their learning experience. Understanding Difficult Concepts More Effectively Complex subjects often include theories, formulas, and practical applications that require in-depth understanding. Professional academic guidance helps students break down difficult topics into simpler concepts. For example, students seeking IT assignment help at Myassignmenthelp.com often require assistance with programming, database management, software development, and networking concepts. Structured support allows them to understand these topics more clearly and complete assignments with greater confidence. Improving Research and Analytical Skills Many academic tasks require extensive research and critical analysis. Students are expected to evaluate information, compare different perspectives, and develop logical conclusions. Assignment support resources can guide learners through the research process, helping them identify credible sources and organize information effectively. Managing Time More Efficiently Balancing coursework, examinations, internships, and personal responsibilities can be overwhelming. Complex assignments often demand significant time and attention. Academic assistance can help students understand assignment requirements more efficiently, allowing them to allocate their study time more effectively and reduce unnecessary stress. Enhancing Problem-Solving Abilities Subjects involving calculations, coding, or technical processes require strong problem-solving skills. Students looking for help with finance assignment tasks often encounter topics such as financial analysis, budgeting, investment evaluation, and risk management. Expert guidance can help them understand methodologies and apply concepts accurately when solving academic problems. Building Academic Confidence When students struggle repeatedly with difficult subjects, their confidence may decline. Receiving proper guidance helps them gain a better understanding of course material, improve assignment quality, and participate more actively in classroom discussions. This increased confidence often leads to better academic performance over time. Learning Practical Applications Many complex subjects are closely connected to real-world industries. Understanding how theoretical concepts apply in professional settings helps students develop valuable practical knowledge. Academic support can provide examples, case studies, and industry-relevant insights that make learning more engaging and meaningful.
    • Astrology relies heavily on complex spatial relationships and geometric configurations, making it a naturally visual system of knowledge. For deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, interpreting these cosmic patterns through sign language brings a unique, highly expressive dimension to natal charts. When generating a precise horoscope by date of birth and time, visual signers can map the exact angles of the planets using three-dimensional spatial signing. This vibrant, spatial approach allows for a rich discussion of aspects like trines and squares that written text alone often fails to fully capture. By bridging the gap between ancient sky maps and modern visual linguistics, the community opens up entirely new ways to experience personal celestial blueprints.
