    • As I am HoH and even with hearing aids I have difficulty understanding people. So I’m learning to help myself and hopefully I can teach my partner and friends. Hopefully eventually I can find more people like me.
    • Hi I’m Ami-May. I am HoH.. severe hearing loss in left ear and profoundly deaf in right ear. I wear hearing aids. I’m learning BSL for myself so I can communicate better with my partner and friends and hopefully they learn along side me.
    • Hi ! Iam Karen , I would like to join your forum and possibly work with some other people. I decided to do BSL because I needed to exercise my hand and I wanted to do something that was more interesting than just exercising, and I thought BSL might help me with someone if they were deaf.
    • I am now in my 8th week at Remark for my level 2 BSL course and really enjoying it.  I will be attend the Deaf Day at City Lit this Saturday, and it's free; Deaf Day 2026 | London | City Lit .   DJ
    • Hi. Started to learn BSL on British-sign.co.uk.  They suggest  I copy the following picture.
    • I am looking for someone aswell
    • Anyone interested in practice buddy.
    • Years ago I employed a deaf lady who taught me how to finger spell. I never forgot it and could remember it years later. I always wanted to learn more but I have no need for it as such as I don’t know anyone who is deaf. I’m embarrassed to say I can’t really speak any other language than a bit of German, so I’ve decided I need a second language and I’ve chosen BSL. My colleague is learning it too so we can practice with each other. I would love to join up with other learners too!
    • Hi I have been learning BSL for 3 years. I recently completed exams in December and January with my Signature approved centre. Before the receptive exam, we sit in the room (which is not appropriately laid out for a fair exam for everyone anyway) and before we start the exam, the teacher spends about 10 minutes going through a list of signs and their corresponding English words that will appear throughout the receptive exam to help us. Is this cheating?? Does anyone else experience this? It kind of defeats the purpose of a receptive skills exam. And It's not part of the exam conduct anywhere in the exam specification.
