  3. Hi all, My names Craig im a 32yr old guy from Cambridgeshire I've signed up to learn BSL as its something I've always wanted to learn just been so busy I've not had time, But being Furloughed for 12 weeks i have time to begin the course and get started. I work in a building merchant's so BSL may come in handy but I just believe it would be a brilliant thing to know and that can only improve me as a person and possibly help me in the future if I decide to change my career path. Hope all are well, Stay Safe

  4. Just a quick message to say hi and introduce myself 😄 I am Zoe, I am a 40 year old from Huddersfield. I learned some BSL as a child from a childhood friend. What I learned has stayed with me. I now have a friend who has 2 deaf parents and as well as thinking how lovely it would be to be able to speak easily with them (they spend a great deal of time amongst our group of friends) she now also has a 2 year old whom is learning speach and sign. I sometimes attend deaf club with my friend and would love to be able to chat with people.

  6. A carpool karaoke lip sync video in support of World Down Syndrome Day features 50 mums and their children singing along to Christina Perri's multi-platinum selling track, "A Thousand Years". The mums are all part of a Facebook group known as "Designer Genes" created for parents who have a child with Down’s Syndrome born in 2013/14. They got together to show the world just how ordinary and fun life with the condition is and how they "Wouldn't Change a Thing". The video was originally inspired by Singing Hands - a UK organisation who's videos have helped many in the group learn Makaton for supporting their children’s communication development. Makaton is designed to help hearing people with learning or communication difficulties using signs, symbols alongside speech. With thanks to the artist Christina Perri for her support and Singing Hands for the original concept.
