  1. Does anyone actually use this website to communicate with each other? Every time I am on a rarely see others post or commune with each other or occupy the video chat rooms. Currently I have hit a wall in my lessons and would like to actually try to practice beginner sign language with another user. I have learned the majority of the signs from the now completed course, give or take a few. And would like to practice full conversation with other individuals (questions, day to day talk, how to correctly sign this particular sentence, etc). Thanks for taking the time to read this. And please reach out if interested.

  2. My name's Georgia and I have just started the "Introducing British Sign Language course"! I have already learnt the alphabet and how to count from youtube videos and I can't wait to learn more. I am 20 years old from the West Midlands currently studying at university. Due to the whole coronavirus situation I have found myself wanting to learn a skill that will be extremely useful in life as I have more time now. I think the basics of sign language should be taught in schools as something as easy as fingerspelling has the ability to ensure we can all communicate with the deaf/hard-of-hearing community.

  5. I think the structure for such a question would be: Subject (You); Noun (Rugby); Question (Like) Therefore the sign I think would be something like this -

  6. To start with, hopefully in a few years I will be a qualified pharmacist and I could see this being a very useful language to know. In my job I already know patients who are hard of hearing or deaf and so I know it's very likely that I will meet more in the future. During this coronavirus lockdown I watched a film, A Silent Voice, which featured a partially deaf girl. The film itself was very moving and after watching it I really wanted to look into learning BSL and a few weeks later, here I am, doing it.

  7. I would love to be helpful and I work in a shop where I have had interactions with quite a few deaf customers who obviously use sign language with their family but i'd love to be able to sign to them so that their shopping experience was more inclusive.

  9. I've always had a interest in BSL, and do feel its important the hearing community develop their knowledge. In addition to the career I wish to go into (art therapy), I want to be accessible to whomever may need the service
