  1. Our popular 'BSL Level 1 Summer Intensive' course is back. This year, our intensive courses will be held three days per week for four weeks, starting on Tuesday, 28th July and finishing on Thursday 20th August. Classes will be conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11am to 4pm. This qualification is designed to enable you to develop an ability to communicate with Deaf people using BSL in a range of familiar contexts, participating in more detailed and open-ended exchanges. The course will develop functional communication in BSL about a range of real-life and daily experiences. You will be able to deal with more routine language tasks and have a sufficient grasp of grammar to cope with some non-routine tasks. 8. Hi All, I'm looking for practice partners in the North West or via Skype. I have the level 1 certificate and have completed level 2 training (awaiting results) with a plan to move onto level 3 in the next month should I pass one of the productive exams from the level 2 (passed 201 receptive). Sticking points for me at moment are around the productive side, particularly where being recorded.
  9. Hi everyone, My name is Louisa, I am 33 years old and have just started learning BSL having been inspired taking Baby Sign classes with my now 10 month old. I work as a spoken voice coach and feel it would be a fascinating area to explore with the deaf/hearing impaired community. I also think the language is fascinating and I've loved learning even basic things to use through baby sign so wanted to learn lots more. Will be really up for finding others at a similar stage with the training to practice with! Louisa
