  1. I wonder if anyone is able to help us with our current project ☺️. We are a dance studio currently creating a piece of performance work with our older students who are interpreting a speech by Lin Manuel Miranda about love and equality, and we would love to be able to incorporate British Sign Language into the choreography to make it more accessible and impactful. The line we would love to use BSL on is ‘Can not be killed or swept aside’ - is anyone able to translate this for us. Thank you in advance

  3. Hi guys, I have recently started learning BSL - extremely beginner!! I am wondering when signing and talking at the same time do I say what I sign or say the sentence. For instance, when singing “name your what” do I say ‘name your what’ or ‘what’s your name’ Hopefully this makes sense!!
  4. Hi guys, I am an admin for Cirencester Community Response Page. We would dearly love to be able to put out some videos / information that has a signer supporting the messages. We are conscious that right now, we don't have these skills and will be leaving out some in our community with whom a telephone just isn't going to cut it. Would anyone be able to spare some time and help us using something like Zoom (or willing to be guided here) to record signed messages that we are able to share with our community? contact - [email protected] Thanks in advance! Rob
  5. If I want to sign these sentences, will I be signing them in a grammatically correct way? I'm going to tell you about a cheap sign lanuage course that you can do online. (cheap-sign language-online-course-me-tell-you) I am a Teacher but I have Asthma so I have a lot of spare time. (Job-me-what-Teacher-I-have-spare time) Thanks for your help!
  6. Hello my name is chandelle and I'm new to bsl. In about a week and a half I have my English presentation about a book that's mainly about bsl so I thought it would be nice to introduce myself in bsl but I need a little bit help with it. The sentence that I want to translate to bsl is: Hello my name is chandelle and my presentation is about the book a quiet kind of thunder. Could someone please help me translate this to bsl because it's a little bit confusing as a beginner. In advance I would like to thank the person who would be so nice to help me.
  7. Hi all im Lisa, I work for a care agency and support a variety of clients, recently we took on a package which are a married couple who are both mute/deaf, she has dementia as well and due to other issues is struggling with her mobility, im trying to learn different signs that help with her care routine, for example I would like to print off and laminate some cards with signs on such as stand, sit, move back etc. I'm hoping that if the sign is on the card along with the command then carers will begin to pick up bits of the signing which would be a great way of communicating with them. thanks for reading x

  9. Hi there! I'm an actress new to this site, and learning BSL. I would love to know the correct sentence structure for a line in a play. The sentence is... "Don't know where he's come from but he definitely seems to have something stuck up his..." I know the signs individually just not sure what order is correct to communicate them in, as I'm still very much learning the grammar, so would love some help! Many thanks

  11. Hi, I'm only learning and I want to check how accurate this is and would love any help/advice anyone could give me. I'm trying to work out the structure of BSL and I had this song in my head so I thought I'd give it a go. Also I was lazy and didn't get up the song so I'm afraid I'm also the singer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVzblDhXvqQ&feature=youtu.be Thank you.
