    • Hi  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.
    • Hello everyone 🙂 I'm Layne. I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next week 😬 I luckily passed BSL201 last week 😌 I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with. If anyone is up super early in the UK and looking for someone to converse with I am 5.5 hours ahead so will be around! Thank you 🙏
    • new to bsl due to hearing loss so hopefully will get to know how to learn sign
    • Welcome to the forum! Hope your BSL Level 1 studies are going well, and there are many on here who are willing to engage in practicing sign language! How are you finding it so far?
    • Welcome to the forum, Vivien! It's great that you've decided to learn BSL for your son! How long have you been learning for up to now?
    • Hello to you all! I'm on S3 of BSL level 1 course and was recommended to come here to practice signing which I'd love to do. Great to be here and looking forward to future signing with you guys 😊
    • Hi, I’m Vivien. I started learning BSL as my son was hard of hearing and wanted to support him to communicate. I’m also looking to understand and support the deaf community and looking forward to learning more!
    • Welcome to the forum, Katherine! It's great that you've decided to learn BSL! How long have you been learning for up to now?
    • Hello! My name is Katherine, I am a British-Mexican linguist, and am beginning to work as a part-time primary school teaching assistant. I also do a bit of English/Spanish translating and interpreting on the side. Growing up with 2 languages and 2 cultures, moving back and forth between countries, resulted in certain language and speech difficulties, making sign languages very attractive to me personally. I started learning Mexican sign language years ago but never continued, and upon resettling back here I am finally committed to learn sign language, and find BSL fascinating. I look forward to communicate in BSL with other students as well as within the deaf community, whom I'm very curious to meet. Cheers!
