    • I've wanted to learn sign language since 2020, after I had learnt how Deaf and HoH people had difficulty reading lips because of the masks, but because BSL wasn't widely taught to hearing people, communication was more difficult for people in the deaf community. I had even come across this course funnily enough, when I was looking for lessons, but got overwhelmed with university exams and shelved the idea for the time being. Then a deaf charity came to my door to ask me to sign up for donations
    • VIDEO TRANSLATION: Hi! My name is Amoke, or AMK for short. I used to live in London but now I live in Nigeria. Hi everyone! It's lovely to meet you all! Forgive my very rusty attempt at signing an introduction 😅 I picked up some of these words from a BSL dicti
    • I've always wanted to learn BSL and even got the course as a Christmas present one year but I'm not great at sticking to things and life got in the way. However, a month or two ago my husband lost his hearing overnight and we suddenly found ourselves in a position where we could only communicate by writing everything down. Without technology and voice recognition apps I would have writer's cramp constantly. He is getting better at lip reading but as I have lost a few front teeth so he struggles
    • Hello my name is Sue and reason I wanted to learn BSL is I have a new job as passenger assistance for a group of Primary schoolchildren who I escort to school and return home at the end of the day, and the school specialise in deafness, and are taught BSL.  Mo
    • Hello,  I wondered if anyone knew if you can enter yourself for BSL exams and how to go about doing this? I’d be really grateful for quite an urgent answer from someone. Thank you
    • Hi I'm looking to further my BSL learning, completed Level 1 in Feb 2023 and was planning to do Level 2 this September, but the college has no BSL teacher!  Now I'm looking for practice buddies, call/ text me please 07920025786. Javaid Bristol
    • Hi, I'm learning BSL at home as I think its important to be able to communicate with anyone I meet in my job in retail. I haven't had a chance to use any of my signs yet but am practising/revising them regularly so I don't forget! I really enjoyed watching the recent Channel 4 Paralympic coverage with BSL as it gave me a chance to practice watching a fast signer. Bye x
    • Hi, I'm also wanting to do an epq in bsl. I can see you've not been active in a couple years but I'm giving anything a shot and praying you might see this. I'd appreciate it so much if you were able to help me if you did do your epq in bsl.   this is how i feel right now i can't find anyone who is doing bsl as an epq any help would be extremely appreciated, thanks
    • I’m Shiona. I’m currently on my BSL learning journey for the second time. I started a few years ago but life and a baby happened and I stopped my learning.    I currently don’t have use for BSL in the sense that I don’t know or generally meet anyone in which I would need to use it, but I feel that should that time ever come it’s only right that I’m prepared. It something I wish would have been mandatory when I was back in school.    I’m always open to making new friends, a lot of m
    • Hello, my name is Zonya and I have been learning BSL for a couple of months now.  I am not deaf but work at a doctors surgery where we have very few deaf/Deaf patients but find it sad that there are so few non deaf./Deaf people that know BSL. I feel this should be a compulsory lesson at least once per week in all schools. I hope everyone is well.
